The Sanctuary at Highland Park United Methodist Church was consecrated in 1926 and remodeled in 1972.  Selzer Associates was commissioned to restore the historic English neo-gothic design intent of the interior and to integrate the installation of a new pipe organ.  As the church had no other space available for Sunday worship, all construction work was done between Monday and Saturday.  Scaffolding and construction materials were removed and the church thoroughly cleaned and made ready for use each week by noon on Saturday.

Highland Park United Methodist Church now has a more versatile, historic, energy-efficient sanctuary to enhance worship and maximize stewardship of financial resources.  Highland Park United Methodist Church was recognized for Preservation Achievement by Preservation Dallas.
